**museum day 〜 national holiday 🏛️🖼️**
🤍 This event has a **400 HUF participation fee** that can be paid [here](https://revolut.me/julianaboos/pocket/S3fLqLloj4) to support the club.
Are you part of the club that **has lived in Budapest for years** but **haven't been to a single museum** yet, since *they'll always be there*? **This is your chance to change that!** And visit some museums **for free** with **good company**.
August 20th is **St. Stephen’s Day**, one of Hungary’s most important national holidays. It celebrates the foundation of the Hungarian state more than 1,000 years ago.
Many museums offer free admission on this day, so we’ll take the opportunity to visit two of them, located right across from each other.
Keep in mind that **August 20th can be busy**, so there may be queues. Come prepared with some water, coffee, snacks, patience, and something interesting to talk about while we wait ☻
**You’re welcome to join us for one or both museum visits, and the coffee/food break in between is completely optional.**
We recommend arriving on time so we can join the queue and enter the museum together. After 11:15, we may not be able to keep checking our phones or updating individual people about where we are, to stay unplugged. So **please aim to arrive at 11:00**.
**The rest of the schedule is flexible**, and the times below are only an estimate. Feel free to leave whenever you like, or explore the museums at your own pace.

**〜 Contribution**
To help make the **unplugged club Budapest** sustainable, this event has a small participation fee of 400 HUF.
**📌 [Pay via Revolut or card](https://revolut.me/julianaboos/pocket/S3fLqLloj4)** \- Please include your **name** (same as on Meetup) and **"20/08"** in the payment note.
This contribution helps cover the time and care that goes into organizing the events, as well as Meetup’s platform fees. It also helps us create a group of people who genuinely plan to attend and be part of the community.
**Please note that the contribution does not guarantee entry to either museum or a specific entry time.** Admission on August 20th is subject to each museum’s capacity, queues, registration requirements, and any rules they may have for the national holiday.
We’ll do our best to enter together, but we can’t guarantee that everyone will be able to enter at the same time, especially if there are long queues or the museums reach capacity.
